syd barrett is gone, folks. the legendary founder and crazed member of the band Pink Floyd has passed away. his odd behavior and constant drug use forced the band to kick him out in its earlier days, but his later solo albums and his influence on the rock'n roll stage show will be testatements to whatever brilliance lay lurking in his deranged mind. I take this moment to remind you of what the world was like when syd barrett was alive, and what sorts of issues he was revolting against.
