the only color i can see

worlds fade apart in twos and threes
yellow is the only color i can see
no brown or red, or even blackish hues
meters compounding threes or twos,
a silent gasp emits the fate
the slice of life, a golden gate.

i wonder now if the time is ripe,
bananas smiling at me from afar
"stop it," i would say, but no one listens.
only words drip from the air
mingling and mixing--cold and fair
the pale blue no more,
a wand in sand
a far off land.

don't stray from the thoughts,
sane and alive they keep you
fear them well you should
alone, the silent true.
